Divine Alignment has to do with the idea of God working things out, in His perfect timing, in a some sort of "destiny" fashion. What do I mean? Things like forgetting your car keys in your house, and that delay caused you to avoid an accident. Or the idea of something happening at the perfect timing.
Of course, there are little things throughout your day that God has set in place to make you smile, but then there are other things that you know are a "freak accident" or "it was fate." These are things I like to think of as Divine Alignment. What I I want to talk about today are Divine Alignment in circumstances, and Divine Alignment in people.
But before I jump into that, let's talk about something that could be misleading. You could be wandering around without God, and everything seems to be going right. This is NOT Divine Alignment. These things are happening for a reason, but not necessarily are they alignment with God's will for your life. You can know something is Divine Alignment when you are walking closely with God. Doing things like reading His word, praying to Him, and obeying what He says to do. Then things will start lining up correctly for you.
So, let's talk about Divine Alignment in circumstances. These are "the right places at the right time" kind of things. We have to realize that God has created us to be in this universe, in your city, and even your neighborhood for a certain purpose. God's timing is sovereign and perfect-He doesn't make mistakes, and He is never early or late. Therefore, wherever you find yourself today, look for opportunities where you see God working in your life, and where He could use you based on your circumstances.
Furthermore, Divine Alignment of people can be almost more powerful than Divine Alignment of your circumstances. This is the idea that you met the right person at the right time, in the right setting for one reason or another. Maybe you were going through a really tough time and you needed someone to help you through it, and you happen to meet them at the grocery store, and you become friends, or they can direct you to someone who can help you. Or, maybe it's in God's plan to put someone in your life to further your dreams or your career. Or perhaps, it's in God's plan that you "accidentally" cross paths with the person you're suppose to end up marrying.
The danger associated with Divine Alignment are a couple things. One, we need to be careful that it's really God's will and purpose for whatever is happening in our lives. We need to pray about it, and make sure that the situation lines up with God's Word and His will for our lives. Otherwise, it could be bait to lead us away from the path that God wants us on. Secondly, we need to make sure that if it is Divine Alignment, we need to make sure that we don't ignore the situation or people involved. You may have your whole future set in stone, but God might quickly steer your life in a different direction. We have to be willing to follow wherever God leads, even if it's away from what we desire.
Lastly, why Divine Alignment? First, everything is for God's glory, and His Kingdom. Whether we meet people we are supposed to use our gifts with, or run into a circumstance where God can use us, it's for His glory. Secondly, I read a quote that reads "God brings people/ events/ cirumstances into your life at exactly the right time for you to get to the next place He wants to take you." God may want you to take a different path then where you are, or maybe you've been idel, waiting for God to show you what to do. Divine Alignment will allow God to move you forward in His plan for your life.
